The beginning of August is probably not the best time for me
to be most of a day outside … at gardens filled with pollen.
But when asked what I’d like to do for our anniversary …
“I’ve always wanted to see the UT and Knoxville gardens”.
Husband has wanted to visit Litton’s Market Restaurant and Bakery in Knoxville,
so off we went for a rare whole day together.
Litton’s was NO disappointment. at. all.
I suggest that unless you’re both VERY hungry,
share a burger platter (it was that big)
and then you won’t feel bad also eating a
perfectly perfect dessert from the HUGE dessert counters.
Cheesecake? … oh ma’ goodness …
thought somehow I’d already gone to heaven
without realizing I had died.
Writing this makes me want to get in the car
and go just for that … lol.
Visit as soon as possible and see it for yourself.
It will be one of the BEST ‘old diner’ experiences you’ve ever had!
UT Gardens was a teeny disappointing only because it was August,
and hot, and HUMID (it has been raining for days).
But Knoxville Botanical Gardens was enjoyable despite the weather.
