Happy 10th Anniversary Dan and Jen …
Jen was my senior daughter’s best friend and a Kindergarten teacher.
She came to our house on Sundays for dinner, fellowship, lesson planning …
and time on the phone with Dan.
There were ONLY flip phones then.
Hers was the first wedding we ever photographed.
She asked … and I loved taking pictures so …
“How hard could it be?”
I learned a lot.
Weddings are hard work and weeks of ‘after’ work.
They didn’t end up with as many pictures as I provide today but
their’s are still some of my “all time favorites”.
And thankfully they’re still happily married – 10 years today.
Days like these are the best stories to tell.
One below I almost didn’t keep as a quick snap from the front pew,
but I’ve always been glad I didn’t send it to the recycle bin,
the look on Dan’s face was worth it:
That was a happy, happy day … and today, “Happy Tenth”…
