If you’re still looking for session design ideas, visit the “What To Wear

There are so many things that go on during a wedding day,
people coming and going … questions being asked of the bride and her family …
all kinds of prep and last minute details being put into place.
And occasionally – even with best laid plans – finding and using a perfect portrait spot
can be ‘random’ or picture time is shortened due to unexpected delays or interruptions.
Truthfully, a photographer’s promises and proposed ideas very much
depend on how the day actually runs – and the weather!

Many brides go through a ‘practice run’ with their hair and makeup artist, so why not
take advantage of this as a perfect time to do the ‘extra’ session?
Do yourself the luxury favor of getting some beautiful bridal portraits while you’re rested,
relaxed, and the dress is fresh … enjoy the feel of wearing it one more day …
for a beautiful studio magazine style portrait.

“Say Yes” to the dress and a bridal portrait session.
Then relax and enjoy your day for whatever occurs in it, knowing that nothing
will prevent you from having a beautiful dress portrait!

When I get the urge to really ‘blog’ (write), it will most likely
not be about a session or wedding that took place over the weekend,
but about life – and family.
One picture revisited brings all kinds of thoughts flooding in!
Today’s moment, my kid – with his kid:

Asa … Age Two

If I EVER lose the hard drives of family history that sit on the desk
it will be an “Alexander’s terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day”!
But because they ARE important, those pictures are not just in the drives.
They’re on secondary USBs, in frames, tabletop and wall galleries …
on the refrigerator … and uploaded to family galleries where we all have access
(and backup) to the most recent get together.
I do not want to lose them!

Truly the WORSE thing that could happen to a sweet memory like this
would be losing the one and only copy that was in a phone!
Back them up, multiply them, print, share, and display …
one day your kids’ kids will be glad you did!
