(love this one … )

Geographically states apart, we’re connected by the past.
Years ago I taught in a school attended by Jacklynn’s mom and aunt.
You often end up crossing a bridge to the past as you live today.
Social media allows us to do that by connecting or reconnecting with people
when we move away or grow up …

( … and I love this one)

Many days I greatly dislike Facebook (I know I’m not the only one),
but progress often means “keep up or get left behind”.
Jacklynn’s mom contacted me through Facebook about her daughter’s wedding
and of course … “Yes – I’d love to!”.
It was an opportunity not to do the work AND see family and friends from the past.
And it’s always as if you’d never gone away.

Thankfully, a ‘still misty and cool’ ice-free morning after a weekend of ice storm
was the warm-up for Jacklynn and Devin,
a mini-engagement session so we could meet before the wedding.
As I continue editing lots of great wedding moments to share,
it seemed a shame not to show you a few of these as well …

Congratulations Jacklynn and Devin!
I’m glad we met … and I know you’ll ‘do marriage’ well.
If and whenever we may meet again it will be like we’ve known each other all along.
The bridge is there.

Wedding details are absolutely unique,
every one a picture of the couple and the day even when
main characters aren’t present and the day is just begun.
Details … the story … all parts of why I love weddings.
Though we may have never met before your planning time,
I look forward to every wedding as ‘family’ would.
There’s always the dress … a picture of the bride and her style:

And a pair of shoes, often fun – always specially selected
(with maybe a hint of what was on the breakfast menu in the ‘Getting Ready’ room):

Then there’s sometimes the unexpected … perhaps from the groom …
that thing that hints (or is an obvious indication) of love and devotion,
the “you are always on my mind” surprise.
One thousand hand folded paper cranes?
That’s an “I love you” if ever there was one!

Kids … because friends and family are important:

And flowers … setting color theme and mood with their ‘happy and fancy’ faces:

Whether you realize it or not, every feature in your wedding
tells a beautiful story.
My joy is putting it all together for you to be read forever!
Have you chosen your ‘story teller’ yet?

I so love sparkly baby eyes … chubby baby hands …
(pretty much babies in general …
Could have just brought this whole box home with me …
With her in it. Seriously.)
