What better thing to do on a hot summer morning than go to the park
with drinks and treats … and crackers to feed the ducks?
(The popsicles would have been nice but the ducks get fierce enough for crackers.
How ’bout you? … crackers or popsicle?? … See.)

Playgrounds are colorful places to be and Athens Regional Park is a great one.
We move … MOVE … from one thing to the next …
getting our super power energy used up and out:

Even when you’re “done”, sitting down for snacks, and having some laughs,
you can just keep shooting. And if you’re lucky and ask just right,
“can you give your brother a kiss?”,
you might suddenly get:

THAT was one of the best parts of the whole day for me …
Max may have thought otherwise!

We have a “mini farm”.
It’s a bit of acreage, a barn, and right now a small garden of fresh stuff
alongside peach trees, asparagus plantings, and a million blueberry bushes.
Yes … I said a million.
Currently it’s sweat bee swatting season.
And while I hate bugs, I love capturing the progress,
the people who enjoy it,
and the fresh produce we get to bring home.
‘Pulled from the vine’ fresh, good, and good for you!

If you’re one of Pop’s grands, you not only get to learn about
picking good tomatoes, you also get to DRIVE:

And this, driving, is I’m sure the real draw of the farm!

Everyone loves sharing
pictures with family and friends but when it comes to decorating the walls
in your home, “gift print” sizes are just not ‘it’.

When we were first married I admittedly made the mistake of decorating
without even thinking about size or proportion on walls.
I had an 8 x 10 hanging over a dresser in my first’s nursery
(not this actual picture but it’s a PERFECT example):

Surprisingly, not even an 11 x 14, which many consider to be large,
is appropriate for a wall if it’s not matted or in a grouping:

How large should the wall piece be? …
large enough to add presence to the room without looking ‘small’.
Just like Goldilocks found the ‘just right’ bed, there’s a ‘just right’ size for a wall piece!
Two basic rules:
* the larger the space, the larger the piece
* and compliment the weight of furniture and accessories in the room.
Most unbroken large wall spaces need at least 20 x 30 for a main piece:

And for impact or ‘statement’ with a memorable piece, you might try 30 x 40:

Gift prints (8 x 10 and smaller) really don’t belong on the wall
unless they’re grouped for more impact.
Give these smaller pictures a beautiful home on a desk,
side table, dresser,
or in a bookshelf grouping – where people will feel invited to take a closer look!

The room in the pictures above could have been yours!
We can take a picture of the wall you want to decorate and put YOUR images in place …
As a single or family heritage collage so that you can see what it would actually look like …
before buying a single thing!
That’s custom.
