We have beautiful grands. Yes I’m biased, but that doesn’t make it any less true!

Her name means “Bright Beautiful Joy” and at 9 months she’s just that.

During a recent rare opportunity to just be together all day,
Pop walked her into sleepiness. Then I kicked back in a yard chair
and held her for HOURS.
Hand her to someone else? “No no no no no”.

Having had 4 children and 5 miscarriages, the miracle of a baby is
something I’ll never take for granted.
I’m pro-life, and believe life begins at conception …
if that were not true there would be no growing!
And I’ve seen enough early sonograms to know it IS a person
in there – very often already sucking their thumb.

Meeting Thomas Obadiah (“Obi Tom”) last month was an especially sweet privilege.
He was a long time coming … a first baby born just a few days before a 24th anniversary …
so it was quite the celebration!

Mama and baby … SPECIAL bonds!
We may be tired and wish for peace, quiet, and our own nap.
But when baby smiles … and looks at us with those blue eyes …
