This picture was one of two lost last week
‘When The Internet Ate My Blog’“.
So sad.

Though I don’t exactly remember all the text, the picture can be reposted.
(And though I may lose my text, train of thought, or mind – pictures are backed up!

The post was a simple ‘talking to myself’ answer to many problems.
It seems that when things are going wrong or we just don’t feel right,
one of the best things to do is simply “Take Time” …

Take time to relax and read a good book with a little person.
Take time to sit quietly and think about your path.
Take time to do something right the first time.
Take time to enjoy pleasure in the ordinary.
Take time for a long soak in the tub – or a leisurely dinner with family.
Take time to enjoy people … take the time to enjoy being alone.

And take time to back up your blog.
If Martha Stewart ever works on her own blog (which I kinda doubt)
she’d probably agree that that’s a good thing.

EDITED to add the latest! …

What are the chances of blogging shortly after midnight about a baby due next week
and having him arrive later the same day? …
In my mind just after midnight … and ‘in our world’ at 2 PM …
Welcome Titus … we love you.

(Picture by mama and papa … )

He WAS a sweet surprise!

We’re in anticipation mode with a little Gerdt
due in the next week or so.
A ‘Gerdt Girl’ or another little Mister, we’re not sure.

On the night this one’s older sibling was coming we waited
as long as we could before finally retiring for the night.
” … Call me! … text me! … no matter what time it is!”

At about 4 in the morning,
the picture message of a little cherub face arrived on my night stand:
“Hi Grandma, my name is Max …”
I turned over to my husband in bed and said,
“you have a grandson named Max” …

“Are you sure it isn’t ‘Maxine’ … ?”

I texted right back.
“Oh yes! It’s a boy …”

One of the sweetest surprises ever and this one will be too!

Class of 2013 in session
and here we are already approaching the holidays.
Being a former music teacher, band and choir director, it always seemed
the first half of the year was spent getting ready for Christmas …
the second half, prepping for competitions,
Then it was over and summer again!

Are summers coming faster and faster?
Her parents I know are not too excited to see this next one roll around,
marking another phase ‘Done’ and one more ‘Away’.

Love and best wishes will go off to college with you!
