Summer is over.
Labor Day ‘come and gone’ …
and last year’s group of seniors is now in college.

My own daughter and her husband returned to the states recently for his brother’s wedding
and a friend posted on his Facebook page that the time of seeing one another was an …
incredible time catching up and seeing how adulthood has treated us after college.
‘This is my husband’ … ‘meet my wife …’ Wow!
We actually did it. We ‘grew up’!

But not yet. Not really …

Our nest emptied 5 years ago, and for quite some time I felt lost
in purpose and routine (to be expected perhaps after shopping, cooking,
and cleaning for 6 – and now there are ‘2’ at the table).
Eventually you discover your self in this new place,
you have opportunities to focus on what used to be dreams,
and you realize that even you haven’t completely “grown up” yet!

You may graduate but you’re never ‘done’.
And one day you’ll likely find yourself doing things in a
different field than the one you chose when heading off to college.
Sometimes that’s how growing up works.
Never be ‘done’. Keep growing and learning. Have a dream to chase …
even if it means chasing it on paper with goals and wishes for a few years!

… and can totally relate to (or commiserate with) this sleepless time of life!

Here or in your home, I take the safety, care and handling of baby very seriously
with experience not just in business, but in 4 of my own!

Because they become less sleepy, less flexible and more aware with each passing day,
the ideal age for pictures is within 2 weeks of birth.
I know exactly how hard it can be to get out with a new little one.
So … just ‘arrive’ – and come comfortable.
I’ll welcome you with a soft chair, soft pillow, refreshment and ‘a break’.

Newborn Pictures Portrait Photographer Athens Tennessee

You can expect a newborn session to last 1 to 2 hours …
for as long as it takes to capture a sufficent set of images.
We do our best to prepare and hope for ‘sleepy baby’,
but should ‘wide awake’ be the plan for the day, we wait …
capture what we can – and sometimes that means a little extra time together!

Lets put your ‘due date window’ on the calendar and you can decide later
whether to make it a ‘Family At Home’ lifestyle session
or studio appointment with the bowls, wraps, and accessories …
